If you are looking at this site, you or someone you care about is probably struggling with a life issue. This is the first step to healing, easing the pain and finding more joy in your life. As a therapist I work with people who have a desire to make positive changes in their lives. Be it depression, anxiety or grief and loss, these can all be debilitating situations that affect daily functioning and overall happiness. I aim to help with the healing process.

I have in-person and remote options: 425 Carlisle Dr. Herndon, VA.

  • Are your teen’s grades terrible?

  • Does your adopted child struggle to make healthy relationships?

  • HAS PROFOUND GRIEF STOPPED YOU IN YOUR TRACKS?

  • Are you drowning in trying to find work/family balance?

I get it!

Together we will begin the healing process. I listen, you vent, we laugh and there are tears. Slowly the weight feels less heavy and, one step at a time, hope and relief turn into peace and joy. It's scary, but it's worth it! I CAN help.

Why Therapy?

This is a great question. “I feel sad.” “I can’t get out of bed.” “My parents are driving me crazy.” Why would you want to come to my office, pay me money and tell me your personal thoughts and feelings?

Therapy is about change. People that decide that they are ready for a change in their lives or that they are tired of doing the same thing over and over again and not feeling any better may feel ready to try talk therapy.

I can provide a safe and confidential space for you to share. People find that they enjoy talking to me because they know that their confidences stay within the privacy of my office. There is no gossip in therapy or criticism. The therapy space allows you to ‘get it out’ and let ‘it’ swim in the room safely and without judgement.

My clients have found great relief and peace after sharing their stories. It can be freeing to talk to someone that is not in your family or your inner circle; it provides an unbiased listener who is here for you and only you. Giving yourself the time and space to focus on you is often one of the best gifts you can give yourself.

peace

it does not mean to be in a place

where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.

it means to be in the middle of those

things and still be calm in your heart.
